FUTURE PLANS FOR
Plans to open bed and breakfast accommodations are ongoing, including a choice of three comfortable rooms and a two-story studio apartment.
THE SAGE SUITE
This spacious suite, ideal for extended stays,
will have a queen size bed, walk-in closet, and balcony
overlooking the Tea Room Café patio and gardens. Other features
will include a four-piece bath with a stand-alone shower and
Jacuzzi, and a private, fully-equipped kitchenette.
This well-appointed room looks into the north
forest and will have a fireplace and full bath with a claw-foot
tub.
The coziest of our three rooms will have twin beds
and a full bath with a claw-foot tub.
The Studio is a bright two-story loft apartment
with a private balcony overlooking the lower gardens. The first
floor will have a dining/meeting area, living room and a
study/bedroom. Also on this floor will be a storage room, pantry
with washer and dryer, full bathroom with shower, and
fully-equipped kitchen complete with fridge, dishwasher,
microwave and Jenn-Air grill-range. The second floor will contain
a master bedroom, sitting area, small reading room/bedroom and
full bath with claw-foot tub.
The Studio can comfortably sleep up to six people
and is ideal for extended stays or business retreats.
A post-and-beam house circa 1830 will be converted
into facilities for our guests. A large lounge area with a
fireplace, piano and billiard table will provide relaxing
diversions and the wrap-around verandah will be perfect for just
"sitting and thinking best", sipping afternoon tea or
an evening beverage.
The Inn has a large selection of books available
for guests. Or if you find reading too strenuous you can relax
under the willow trees or contemplate the frogs in the pond.
Bicycles will be available to tour the country roads or the Trans
Canada trail that is adjacent to our property. You can also
browse our emporium and furniture show room. Rivendell offers
lots to do if you simply want to slow down, take a breath and
enjoy life for awhile.
Book out the entire Inn and hold your business
planning sessions at Rivendell. The second floor conference and
meeting room area will be outfitted with a board table,
audio-visual equipment, photo-copying and fax facilities.
The Rivendell Bed and Breakfast and Country Inn is
a non-smoking, adults-only, environment.
Continental breakfast will be served in the
solarium or on the patio under the trees.
As well as at restaurants in the area, our guests
will have the choice of dining at Rivendell. Our Tea Room Café
is open for lunch or afternoon tea during the summer months.
Gourmet dinners, created by our Chef, are available in the
evening with 48 hours notice.
